If you’re looking for somewhere to relax in luxury, the Courmayeur area has endless attractions to offer. Enjoy the stunning views from the top of Mont Blanc, take a leisurely drive along Lake Combal, or improve your skiing skills on a wide range of slopes. In-between all this there are spas as well as numerous bars and clubs to enjoy. According to your needs, there are loads of things to do here apart from skiing. At the foot of Mont Blanc and on the way to Aosta, Courmayeur is a charming resort set in a spectacular location. Sought after by royalty and celebrities, it has all the ingredients to ensure that your winter vacation, in every sense of the word, is memorable.Courmayeur is the perfect ski resort for any age, from toddlers to seniors. With a wide variety of sporting activities (skiing, snowboarding, heli-skiing, and cross-country skiing), it is also perfect for adrenaline junkies. But that’s not all. The region also boasts its own thermal baths, which are renowned worldwide. Add in a vibrant nightlife and you’ve got a recipe for great holiday fun!
Breuil-Cervinia
Italy’s Breuil-Cervinia offers up one of the largest ski areas in the Alps, with 220km of slopes and more than 600km in total with ski access to Switzerland. The variety is also fantastic and should appeal to skiers at all levels, with numerous locations throughout the village that also offer nightlife, dining, shopping and more. The resort is perfect for finding a cozy spot to relax after a day of outdoor adventure, but we also love visiting Zermatt, a charming Swiss town nestled in the mountains on the other side of Mount Matterhorn. This little paradise offers plenty of winter fun and is known simply as ‘The Last Ski Village’!. Whether you ski or not, Cervinia is a beautiful town that boasts picturesque views, mouth-watering food and an impressive array of activities. From snowshoeing to mountain biking, you can do it all! We particularly enjoyed the Après Ski at The Principe Delle Nevi where we had the pleasure to meet some familiar faces as well as make new friends. Cervinia is truly a luxury destination. Its sunny weather allows you to take advantage of its world-class slopes all year long. Cervinia also boasts an impressive array of bars and nightclubs, as well as more relaxed après ski spots with charming décor and delicious drinks. In other words, this Aspen-like resort in the Italian alps is a true luxury vacation spot!
Sestriere
Located in the superb Vialattea ski area, which offers 400 km of perfectly groomed slopes of all difficulty levels, Sestriere has hosted many major events including Olympic competitions, FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and the FIS Cross Country World Championships. Through its team of carefully selected instructors, Dynamic Sport Experience can ensure high-quality sporting services to both experienced and beginner athletes. It may not be the most popular ski resort in Europe, but it sure is a gorgeous one. If you do decide to visit, I would highly recommend checking out the Vialattea ski area. It’s large, beautiful, and not too challenging for beginners and intermediate skiers. And as mentioned above, night skiing is quite the experience. Just watch out for those pesky, cat-eating wolves. Just 20 minutes away from Turin, you’ll find the small, yet glamorous, town of Sestriere. With its world-class ski resorts and renowned nightlife, it’s easy to see why so many vacationers flock here each year. No matter what the occasion, whether it’s for a DIY tour in the local shops or just down to enjoy an après-ski cocktail, Sestriere is truly a world-class destination.
St Moritz:
Above all, Saint Moritz is known for its winter sports, particularly for skiing and for the ski resort of Corvatsch. The five-star Hotel Badrutt’s Palace and the Bellevue Suites at the Corvatsch ski resort are amongst Saint Moritz’s top hotels. The town also offers a few shops and showrooms keen to satisfy even the most discriminating of shoppers. This December, Saint Moritz plays host to a wide variety of winter activities; at the start of the season, the Big Air competition is held in St. Moritz-Celerina, and later in the month, there will be competitions on the Engadine slopes with 100km of the free ski area. In addition to all this, visitors can use their free time to walk around town, visiting the many boutiques and carrying out plenty of shopping trips. An ideal destination for all walks of life, from romantics to adrenaline junkies. Saint Moritz today is a winter destination for the “Who’s who,” and has developed into an attractive spot for visitors from all over Europe. Swiss folks often come here to experience the peculiarly mild climate, which is why it attracts so many tourists in winter. And they are not disappointed: St. Moritz offers a variety of activities, staying options and – last but certainly not least – four distinct landscapes that offer something for every taste. The Engadine Mountains have plenty to offer in terms of challenging winter sports despite the comparatively warm temperatures. Sports enthusiasts can also try themselves at paragliding or fox-hunting in summer! Side-trips can be made on foot or by boat to the surrounding mountains or lakes such as Silsersee, Achensee, or Fuschlsee. Even after a day full of adrenaline and adventure, one could still stop off at Engadin’s nightlife capital St. Moritz to dance the night away in one of its numerous noteworthy clubs.
